Summary:
We are looking for a Software Engineer with 2-5 years of experience writing web applications. At Science Exchange, you will contribute to a platform designed to accelerate scientific research. We are seeking engineers who are eager to learn, grow, and help solve meaningful problems for our customers. Our platform is built using a combination of Salesforce and AWS, and we welcome engineers excited to work with these technologies.

About the Role:
- Assist in estimating, understanding, and implementing user stories provided by the product team to deliver new and improved features to our users
- Collaborate on the design and development of systems that solve critical problems for our customers and business
- Enhance and refine existing systems for scalability, maintainability, and reliability
- Learn from and work closely with senior engineers to build technical expertise
- Support internal tools that improve efficiency for other teams within the company
- Communicate technical concepts, challenges, and solutions effectively within the team
Specific Qualifications & Requirements:
- 2-5 years of professional experience writing web applications
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Exposure to AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway; familiarity with AWS CDK or SST/Pulumi is a plus
- Well versed with React, Typescript, and NodeJS
- Familiarity with Salesforce development, including Apex and LWC framework, is a plus but not required
- Proficiency with development tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across multiple time zones
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
